I couldn’t believe God made a shrub with cute little kitten paws when I was a child. I still feel the same sense of wonder and delight when the fuzzy paws emerge 🐈

We carry so many hints of the past in our genes and personalities. It’s always wonderful to discover what parts of us are new and what parts are old.

Every indoor job I’ve ever had (except teaching) made my soul die a little. I picked terrible jobs to be honest. Working in a health food store seemed great until I spent all my money on recipe books and supplements. I didn’t spend money on clothing—a weird guy actually came in with a gift of acid wash jeans and an acrylic sweater. Psycho.
