Farm Disconnect

A few weeks ago my 20-year-old daughter (who lives with us) realized she’d never actually seen our lambs. It’s a five second walk to the barn. Now she’s back in NYC for school so this post goes out to her.

1750 Ram Lamb with No Name Yet Will Be Arriving SOON!

We can look but we can't touch!
We can look but we can’t touch!

When bringing a ram lamb to your home you don’t want to spoil him. Much trouble will ensue if you do, but here’s the boy coming to our home. Can’t we just pet him once? I hope the Katahdin girls will be just as adorable.

We chose Katadins because they look an awful lot like goats and despite the fact that one day we’ll eat their babies I like having pretty animals to love. They also were developed in our neck of the woods, forage more like goats and have more parasite resistance (and I’m so sick of parasite worries). We won’t have to shear them either since they shed their hair!
